I love your guys products but this batch of braid I got actually was kinda a bummer half way down the 500yd spool it was already cut so during the spooling process I was about 200 yds in and had to completely restart once I found this flaw but luckily I got the 500 yd spool and was only filling a 300 size reel so it al worked out but the first 200 yards I had to pretty much scrap but I love beyond braid and I realize not every product comes out perfect but I hope this doesn’t happen to other people because I know how fast people can turn sour when stuff like this happens

The camo color braid is perfect for discolored/green water. I use 10-15 pound depending on the area I fish. For offshore, the blue camo is perfect,

Really like these lines, awesome strength, I only use these brand…

I like the color. Unfortunately the color gives off to such an extend that the line is sticky through the guides on the rod. Using a glove for some tension putting it on the reel stained the glove.

Loved it already caught me some lingcod and rockfish with it

All my reels have beyond braid on them . 80# 30# 20# and 10# on the small open bails . All the reels have matching Monochrome leaders in blue tine or clear . This is my first tim e using this braid so far I’ve been out three times salt water. And they all have worked great . The black on my light reels did not lose color or dye on my fingers . Love the multi color blue/black clear braid and blue .in the water . Although we didn’t catch what we wanted Mahi and wahoo . We did catch 12 Bonita and rigged them and caught 4 bull sharks roughly 8-10 feet long off Jupiter inlet Florida . Brought 3 up to surface beside the boat. And cut the leader, I couldn’t get the hooks out the one that broke my 80# braid . And that was because I was synching down on him hard and he rolled at the end of the boat . I really think he broke my knot and not the braid as it want frayed I love the braid and action casting

First time casting out, instant bendo on the rod. Had the drag tight, fish peeled off some line, smooth. Going to put this line on another reel as well, happy with how it cast out - far, winding in was smooth.

I switched to Beyond Braid just about 3 years ago. My buddies and I bank fish in the Dallas area. I carry 4-5 rods rigged with different baits with me. I have not been broken off. It is so sensitive that you can detect the slightest bite. All my rods are spooled with 10# or 15# BB line.

Blue Wave is the open-water camo: clear lakes and blue saltwater. Moss Camo is the cover camo: weeds, timber, stained lakes, and rivers. If you split time between both, most anglers start with Moss Camo in freshwater and Blue Wave in salt.
Eight strands are woven tighter and rounder, so 8X is thinner for the same pound test, slicker through the guides, quieter on the cast, and it flies farther. Four strands weave flatter and squarer, which makes 4X a little grabbier on rock and shell and easier on the wallet. Simple rule: throwing light lures on spinning gear or chasing casting distance, take 8X. Fishing heavy cover, dragging bottom, or filling several reels on a budget, 4X is the workhorse. Both use the same PE fiber and the same diameter chart.
This is a dyed multi-color line, so after a full season of hard sun and heavy use the tones do soften. It does not cost you any strength, and the pattern still does its job in the water. If zero fading is what you are after, our 8X No Fade series locks the color into the fiber instead of coating it on.
This one is offered in 8lb, 10lb, 15lb, 20lb, 30lb, 40lb, 50lb, 60lb, 80lb, 100lb. As a starting point: 8 to 15lb for trout, panfish, and finesse, 20 to 30lb for bass and all-around freshwater, 30 to 50lb for inshore snook, reds, and trout, 50 to 65lb for heavy inshore and light offshore, 80lb and up for offshore and big structure. Diameters: 8lb at 0.10mm, 10lb at 0.12mm, 15lb at 0.16mm, 20lb at 0.20mm, 30lb at 0.28mm, 40lb at 0.32mm, 50lb at 0.37mm, 60lb at 0.40mm, 80lb at 0.48mm, 100lb at 0.55mm. This one comes in 300 Yards, 500 Yards, 1000 Yards, 2000 Yards. A 300 yard spool fills one average reel. 500 yards covers one big reel or two smaller ones. The 1000 yard and 2000 yard bulk spool is for filling several reels at once and works out to the lowest cost per yard. Braid is thinner than mono at the same rating, so most anglers step up a size from the mono they used to run and still gain casting distance.
For braid to leader, the FG knot is the strongest and thinnest and it passes through guides cleanly. A double uni with 6 to 8 wraps per side is easier on the water and holds fine under 30lb. Straight to a hook or lure, use a Palomar tied with doubled line. Wet every knot before you cinch it, because a dry knot burns and that is where most break-offs actually happen. When you spool up, keep firm tension on the line the whole way, use mono backing or a strip of tape on a bare arbor so the braid cannot slip, and stop about an eighth of an inch below the spool lip. An overfilled spool is the real cause of most wind knots people blame on the line.
Braid is slick enough to spin on a bare spool. Either lay down a short mono or fluoro backing and join it with an FG or double uni knot, or wrap a strip of electrical tape around the bare arbor first. Then spool under steady tension with the line coming off the filler spool the same direction it goes onto your reel, which is what keeps wind knots from showing up on your first cast.
Much thinner at the same strength, usually right around half the diameter. That is the whole point: you pack far more line onto the same reel, you cut through wind instead of ballooning in it, and you cast noticeably further. Exact diameters for every pound test in this line are listed in the size chart on this page.
No. Modern guide inserts handle braid without any trouble. What actually shreds line is a guide insert that is already chipped or cracked. Run a cotton swab around the inside of each guide once a season, and if it snags a fiber, replace that guide before it costs you a fish.
Not with nail clippers, and not with a knife. Braid is a PE fiber that frays and rolls away from a dull edge instead of cutting, so you end up with a mashed end that will not pass through a knot cleanly. Use a dedicated braid scissor with serrated blades for a square cut, and your knots will seat right the first time.
Braid outlasts mono by a wide margin, so most anglers get multiple seasons out of one spool. The last stretch of line takes nearly all the abuse, so before you replace the whole thing, strip off the first 20 to 30 yards and retie. When the line starts feeling fuzzy well down the spool, or you have lost enough to hurt your capacity, it is time. You can also pull the line off, reverse it end for end, and respool to get a full second life out of it.
