The blades are micro-serrated, so they grip the braid instead of letting it slide out to the tip. They cut clean through heavy braid, mono, fluorocarbon, and even steel wire, and they will cut bait, squid, and shrimp too. If a strand ever wants to slip, put a little tension on the line and it cuts instantly.

They double as a split shot crimper, flathead screwdriver, hook eyelet cleaner, and bottle opener, and they include a lanyard. The XL finger holes fit big hands and wet hands, which is the part most fishing scissors get wrong.

Rinse them in fresh water after saltwater, dry them, and oil the pivot. The one thing that kills any fishing scissor is getting stored wet inside a closed sheath or a zipped bag. Dry them first and they will last.

Awesome scissors. Cut like butter. Only got to use for 2 days before the saltwater claimed them. Recommend a strap. Went and looked at other scissors but couldn't pull the trigger cause of how good the beyond braid were. Highly recommended

My first pair lasted over a year and just got dull, so I purchased 2 more pairs and within 1 week the pair I was using had rusted to the point not being able to use them. So now within 2 weeks after purchase I have thrown away 1 pair and having to use my second pair. I should have been covered for 2 years not 2 weeks..
